Review:
I am a massive fan of Larissa Ione, her Demonica series is one of my favourites! I just love that sexy demon world she created! When I found out she was publishing a new series, a vampire series, I admit I did pull constipation face LOL! I love vampires, don’t get me wrong, but for some reason I was hesitant. I read Bound by Night, the first book last Summer and I had some issues with it. Me and Bound by Night didn’t hit it off, I was a little confused by the world and it seemed to take me a long time to make connections with characters, I didn’t think I’d go on with the rest of the series. Obviously I did. And I am SO glad I continued.
Chained by Night gave me everything I expect from Larissa Ione, kick ass characters, great world, hot sex and plenty of action! I seriously couldn’t stop reading! The vampires in this world are different, they are unique to MoonBound Clan, they follow a different lore and I highly recommend you start with the first book, so you can familiarise yourself with this world.
Hunter, leader of the MoonBound clan *swoon* is just humma humma humma! From the very beginning I knew he’d be one to watch! Hunter is fierce, and iron like and has so much grrrr about him he literally makes me need to take a cold shower LOL! To keep peace between the clans Hunter has agreed to mate with one of the daughters from the imposing clan, and prove himself as ally for the war that looms against the humans.
His mate is none other than the evil bitch Rasha. Rasha is ruthless and vile and turns Hunter completely off to say the least, he despises her! So it is no wonder that he feels a connection and a pull to Aylin, her sister. I feel so sorry for Aylin, she is Rasha’s twin and is very different to her evil sister and her warped family. Aylin has been treated like an abomination and has never been given the chance to prove herself, until now. Aylin stands by Hunter’s side during a quest that is surely to cost him his life. The romance between Hunter and Aylin is not an easy one, for Aylin is promised to another clan, a clan so bloodthirsty they put shame to Aylin’s sadistic father! Hunter is meant to be having affairs with Rasha, which is an impossible feat when all he can think of is the love he has for her sister. OMG! I couldn’t take it! Their love is forbidden, a love that will cost lives. I cannot tell you how much I loved Hunter and Aylin together, the sexual intensity and the magnetism between them drove me over the edge LOL!
Seriously, this is one of the best paranormal romances that I have read all year! There is so much action and drive throughout this book, the pacing is fantastic and it’s a lot more on the ball this time around. The romance was off the charts! BUT it never took over the overall plot and action, there was a nice balance and Larissa Ione does this well.

Chained by Night is full of action, it’s raw and dirty and I ate it up!
